Check-in Tips
Minimize your stress by arriving at the airport informed.
Before proceeding to the airport, check the flight alert status by phone or by internet for any flight changes. Verify the exact airport and terminal you will be departing from/arriving to. This is indicated in your ticket.
Web Check-in is most advisable to get the best seats and to avoid long lines at the airport. The earliest is 24 hours in advance.
Due to airport security, please be at the airport at least three (3) hours before your departure time for domestic travel and four (4) hours before your departure time for international travel.
Please note that most airport check-in counters close 45 minutes before the flight. It is advisable to check-in hours before your flight to avoid being denied boarding.
Passport, tickets, and other documents and check-in requirements must be on hand and readily available.
Check that you have your credit cards and spending money on hand, including your gadgets and reading materials. Keep a spare of your eyeglasses within reach.
If you have split tickets for your destination, request for check-thru of your baggage and boarding passes up to your final destination. Note: Some airlines do not allow this due to non-synchronization of their computer system with other airlines.
Label all your baggage with the correct information – your name, temporary/permanent address, contact number, flight number, and destination.
Ensure that you are at the assigned gate by boarding time as indicated in your boarding pass. The airline has the option to release your seat and offload your baggage if you do not show up on time.
Pay attention for announcements related to possible flight or boarding gate changes. Check the flight information boards before proceeding to your assigned boarding gate.
